I enjoy the process of making. Through the use of color, texture, curves, text, and imagery, I take my time reacting to the chaos that I perceive. Trying to reflect and unpack my past, while being constantly distracted by new information, politics, wars, collapse of the environment, and stupid people. And in retrospect, I can reflect on that chaos that is now collected on the surface of my sculptures and see how everything has come together. I can look back and think about what I was trying to do and what I actually did. I can analyze what I was trying to communicate, and see if it was successful or not.
Most of the time the only problem I’m solving is understanding myself and my surroundings better. And that is it. Reacting to chaos by creating.
